How do you set up auto slowmode on Discord?

Discord has no automatic slowmode of its own, so a bot has to change it. With Quark's automations, a rule sets slowmode or locks a channel when a log matches, such as 10 members joining in a minute, and can undo it after a delay you choose. Quark keeps the undo in its database, so it happens even if the bot restarts.

Discord auto slowmode FAQ

No. Discord lets moderators set slowmode by hand, per channel. To change it automatically you need a bot, such as a Quark automation rule that sets it when something happens.

The wait starts over, so a raid that keeps going keeps the channel locked. Quark keeps one pending undo per channel, member or role, not a pile of them.

No. A pending undo still happens after the rule is switched off or deleted. Putting things back is the safe default.

No, and it doesn't claim to be. Quark reacts to what its logs show: joins, deletes, new accounts. It doesn't verify members or block joins, and a dedicated verification bot or Discord's own security settings do that better. What Quark adds is the reaction, undone on time, with every step in your logs.
