Discord automations When this happens, do that.
An automation is a rule that watches the logs Quark already makes and acts when one matches. Tell a channel, ping a role, flag the log, or with Quark Pro time someone out.

The short answer
What are Quark automations?
Quark automations are rules that watch the logs Quark already makes for a Discord server and act when one matches. A rule reads as one sentence: when a log is produced, and only if some conditions are true, then do something. It can alert a channel and ping a role, add a notice to the log, copy the log to another channel or hold it back.
Key facts
- A rule has three parts: when a log is produced, and only if conditions are true, then actions.
- The free plan runs 1 rule. Quark Pro Lite runs 3 and Quark Pro runs 25.
- With Quark Pro a rule can time out, kick or ban a member, delete a message, change a role or send a DM.
- A rule never acts on the server owner, or on a member whose highest role is level with or above Quark's.
- A rule in dry run counts how often it would have run and does nothing else.
- Quark is used in 112,000+ Discord servers.
How a rule reads
One sentence, three parts.
You build a rule from menus, and the builder reads it back to you in plain English before it runs.
When
A log is produced. Pick any of Quark's log types, or a whole category of them.
And only if
Someone has a certain role, it is a particular person, a bot did it, it happened in a certain channel, the message says something, the account is new, or it keeps happening.
Then
Tell a channel and ping a role, add a notice to the log, send a copy somewhere else, or don't send the log at all. With Quark Pro, time out, kick or ban.
Start from an idea
You don't start from a blank page.
The dashboard comes with rules to start from. Each opens with its blanks left for you to fill in.
Keep logs quiet
Stop the logs nobody reads from burying the ones that matter.
- Don't log role changes made by our verification bot
- Don't log nickname changes unless a moderator made them
- Don't log joins and leaves in the AFK channel
Get told
Send the few events that need a person to the people who need them.
- Tell a channel when someone with a role is banned
- Tell a channel when an account newer than 7 days joins
- Tell a channel when a webhook is created or a bot is added
- Flag deleted messages that contain a Nitro gift link
Step in
Catch a pattern while it is happening, and on Quark Pro act on it.
- Alert a channel when one member has 5 messages deleted in 10 minutes
- Alert a channel when one person deletes 3 channels or roles in a minute
Careful by design
A rule that can ban needs limits.
Every rule can be watched before it is trusted, and none of them can reach the people running the server.
See it before it runs
The builder draws the log, and the alert, as they will look in Discord. Try it runs the rule against sample logs and marks which would set it off.
Dry run
A rule in dry run counts how often it would have run and does nothing else. Good for a first day.
Never the owner
A rule never acts on the server owner, or on a member whose highest role is level with or above Quark's.
One ping, never @everyone
An alert pings only the one role you choose. @everyone and @here are not on the menu.
An hourly limit
Every rule has a limit on how often it can act in an hour, so a raid cannot turn one rule into a flood of its own.
Everything it does is logged
Each alert and moderation action is recorded as a Rule Action log, and a log that a rule held back is still in the Log Viewer, marked with the rule's name.
Plans
One rule is free.
The free plan's rule can use any trigger, any condition from the menus, and any action that is not moderation.
