How to set up Discord server logsServer logs, set up in two minutes.
Discord only keeps an audit log of admin actions, and only for 45 days. To log messages, voice and members you add a logging bot. Here is the whole setup with Quark, start to finish.
Takes 30 seconds. Generous free plan.

Where should Quark send your logs?

The setup
Six steps. Most take seconds.
You need the Manage Server permission in the server you are setting up. Everything else is below.
- 1
Create a private log channel
In Discord, create a text channel and call it something like #logs. Turn on Private Channel and add only your staff roles, so members can't read it.
# logsPrivate Channel onStaff roles only - 2
Invite Quark
Open quark.bot/invite, pick your server and click Authorize. You can untick Administrator on the permissions screen. Quark works without it.
- 3
Run /logging
Type
/loggingin any channel and choose your new log channel from Quark's reply. Logging starts straight away. - 4
Choose what gets logged
Open the dashboard, or type
/dashboardfor a direct link. Turn whole categories of events on or off, and send each kind of log to its own channel if you want them apart. - 5
Set your ignore rules
In the dashboard's Ignore tab, add the channels and members you don't want logged, like a bot-commands channel. You can ignore someone as the target of an event, or as the one who carried it out.
- 6
Test it
Delete a message, then edit another. Both should show up in your log channel. If something is missing, run
/troubleshootand Quark will tell you why.Message DeletedMessage Edited

“The reason we choose Quark was because of its logging, can directly see images that get deleted, and the logging is really fast. You can simply type one command and have everything set up.”
Web log viewer
Your logs, searchable on the web.
Discord channels are slow to scroll and easy to delete. Quark Pro keeps a copy you can search from the dashboard.
- Watch your server live as events happen
- Search 30 days of history by member, channel or contentPro
- Export any view as a CSVPro
- Still there if a raid deletes your log channelPro
The live view is free. History, search and export come with Quark Pro. See pricing
